The first time I rode in a limo was when I was nine years old. I was a junior bridesmaid for my cousin’s wedding, and the entire wedding party rode in the limo from the church to the reception hall. That was nearly 20 years ago, and times have changed. For my own upcoming wedding, I decided rather than having a stretch limo, I am going to hire a party bus instead. While the limo was nice for that setting when I was just a kid, I wanted something more fitting for my own wedding party.
There are 12 of us, plus I am including my mom, my dad, my fiance’s parents, and our combined three grandparents along with a couple of cousins, aunts and uncles. It is called a party bus, and I know a lot of people who rent one of them probably do use it for mobile partying. I did it mainly for the comfort reason. There are going to be 23 of us in it. I absolutely wanted all of them there because they have been instrumental in my life as well as my fiance’s life.
I want to share all of the important moments of the day, and celebrating our first hour as husband and wife is definitely important. The bus will pick us up at the church, take us to a gorgeous public flower garden so we can take pictures, and then to the reception site. It will then take all of us to the hotel where we have rooms reserved for everyone. I want them all to be comfortable, and I thought it would be nice to have our first toast as a married couple with the people who mean the most to us. If we happen to have a bit of fun in the process because of the party bus, so be it!
